Agreement to these terms
By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
These terms apply to all visitors to our website and to all clients who engage Level Tax for accounting, tax, or related financial services. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Level Tax. "You" refers to the individual or entity using our website or services.
Our services
Level Tax provides tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, business advisory, and related accounting services to individuals and businesses in Canada. The specific scope of services for each engagement is confirmed in writing prior to commencing work.
We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Our services are limited to accounting, tax preparation, and financial advisory matters. For legal questions, you should consult a qualified lawyer.
We are not a public accounting firm and do not perform audit, review, or compilation engagements as defined under Canadian auditing standards. Any financial statements we prepare are for internal use or for submission to the Canada Revenue Agency and are clearly identified as such.
Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing us with complete, accurate, and timely information necessary to perform the services you have engaged us for. We prepare your tax filings and financial records based on the information you provide. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or penalties that arise as a result of inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.
You are responsible for reviewing all documents we prepare before providing your approval for filing. Once you have approved a document and we have filed it on your behalf, any corrections or amendments may be subject to additional fees.
You are responsible for maintaining copies of all documents you provide to us and all documents we prepare for you.
Fees and payment
Our fees are quoted in Canadian dollars and are communicated to you before work begins. We do not commence work on an engagement until the scope of services and associated fees have been agreed upon in writing.
Payment terms are as agreed upon at the start of each engagement. Where applicable, a deposit may be required before work begins.
Fees quoted do not include applicable taxes such as HST, which will be added where required by law.
We reserve the right to pause or discontinue services if invoices remain unpaid beyond agreed payment terms.
Confidentiality
We treat all financial, personal, and business information you share with us as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your information to any third party except as required to perform the services you have engaged us for, as required by law, or as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our confidentiality obligations survive the termination of any service engagement.
CRA filings and government submissions
When we file documents with the Canada Revenue Agency or other government authorities on your behalf, we do so based on your authorization. You remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information submitted in your name.
We will make every reasonable effort to file documents accurately and on time. However, we are not liable for penalties, interest, or other consequences resulting from information you provided that was inaccurate or submitted to us after agreed deadlines.
The CRA and other government agencies have the authority to review, reassess, or audit any filing. We will assist you in responding to CRA inquiries, reviews, and audits; however, our representation does not extend to matters requiring legal representation before a court or tax tribunal.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or website, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

We reserve the right to terminate services immediately if you provide fraudulent information, engage in activities that would require us to violate applicable law or professional standards, or fail to make payment in accordance with agreed terms.
Upon termination, we will return your documents and records to you in a timely manner.
